New additions to our Custom build brand family are Intense for the Mountain Bikers and BMC for the committed roadies.
Intense are known for there commitment to building rock solid, American built (not just assembled or designed) custom frames that get the job done. We are finding that as the mainstream brands 'generally' get better discerning customers are looking for that exclusive, quality first brand with the emphasis on function rather than fashion. We are pleased to be able to offer Intense frames and builds. Call now for the new restructured pricing - you will be surprised.
BMC bikes are the hot road property at the moment - stunning 'stand out designs' that have been used to great effect by the famous (and INFAMOUS) this year. Love it or hate it no one could ignore the pro machine that Landis used to take apart Le Tour this year. Carbon / Alloy / and hybrid mixes add up to a custom range of outstanding quality.
August 2006
Have you noticed how quickly the decent brands sell out of stock these days - especially when it comes to blowing out the end of season stuff there is barely anything left. As far as Specialized is concerned there was a few days when most of there remaining 2006 stock was vapourised into the ether. Don't stress if you missed it the 07 bikes are already beginning to be delivered. We now have 07 Stumpy FSR at £1500 - this year with the M5 frame and weighing in at 28.5 lbs !! Hardrocks through to the PRO at £550 - Sirrus - Dolce - Ruby - hell any more and there will be no point having an 07 bike launch!! Sept 4th by the way when we shall be closed for the day
June 2006
No sooner has Summer started and it seems like June is over - The fantastic weather has encouraged loads of people out on their bikes - I think that we have pretty much had a month of dry weather. Fantastic.
I have fallen in love with the Specialized Langster over the last 4 weeks - what a bike! Four hundred quid - no gears - no fuss and the best fun that I can remember having on a bike. Got it geared to a 'girlie' 44x18 which I think equates to 67.5 inches (whatever the hell that means) but it seems to suit me coming in to work and currently averaging 17mph. - So come on - ave a go if you think you can!! Only joking great bike though. Tried it fixed wheel one night but didn't like it. Fantastic on the climbs - great on the flat, if the road was smooth but a mare on the descents - still worth a try.
Been all happening on the race front - Jonathan has held the UK masters top slot (points) for 6 months - then goes and breaks his left wrist and right baby finger at Cheddar Doh!!
Jason has been going well winning the Tehidy Off Road Duathlon and Placing well in the Local tries.
Steve Lampier on his 'Injury break' from his French Team pretty much cleaned up most of the local time trials and set new course records on the Leedstown 10. Now he has gone back everybody else will be in with a shout.
Stuart and Andy have both been going well and have had several 123's with Steve - all in all a very good season to date.
We are shortly going up to view the 2007 Specialized range of road bikes and shall consequently be clearing any 06 stock that we have. Not that there is very much but if anybody out there is reading this stuff now could be a very good time to score a great deal on the following.
Specialized Transition 54cm was £1399
S Works Roubaix Frame 54cm was £1199
Roubaix Elite (demo) 54cm was £1299
ring for UNBELIEVABLY good prices 01326 561562
May 2006
Giant have once again pulled the stops out on their 'early season' launch with a fantastic line up of new models and ranges. (we are calling them 07 bikes - the catalogue says 06 does that mean that we have lost a year?)
The all conquering Terrago gets face lifted and now sits in a classy black and silver livery - has a 9 speed Deore based group and lock out forks. Price ? £425. The XTC range is virtually unchanged however there are a few 06 sx models now available at £595 (from £750)
The Maestro full sus range gets a makeover and an additional couple of models - the Anthem - lightweight XC race bike 9mm travel to compliment the Trance 100mm the Reign 150mm the Faith 200mm and a new bike the Glory. Suspension baskets have also been re jigged.
Ladies have their own bike range - the New SCR replacement for the OCR have three (w) specific options The 3.0 at £450 is already proving very popular.
Finally we get the carbon OCR's - sorry SCR's tall head tube slightly shorter top tube - very comfy performance cyclo - sportive models.

Wow - thats the thing with web sites - turn your back for five minutes and the best part of a year go's by. Apologies for being slack it's just that we have been so busy - if that makes sense!!
A lot has happened in bike world the summer of 2005 came and went in a fantastic triathlon induced rush of Specialized's Roubaix and Giants fantastic carbon TCR and the launch of the brilliant new Transition and so on and so on. Loads of new stuff the new Hardrock pro totally kicks ass if you can get one - what a bike for £500 - Jonathan has been away to the SBCU course in the states and came back fired up - having seen the results of Roger Minkows penile blood flow results I can see why.

03/04/2005 -Well as promised we finally have a new look site - after eight years of faffing about on my own I have bit the bullet and enlisted the help of Joey Robinson at www.techdesigns.co.uk . This being the result. The really clever bit is the seamless integration of the online shop with our inhouse database of stock allowing me to manage both instore and online stocks simultaneously. All online payment details are taken via https secure web space encrypted and made available for us to process in house. Please feel free to browse / buy and comment on what you see on this site.
2005 model year has seen more changes in bike specification than ever before - Both road and mountain bikes appear to be fantastic value for money - for our part you can now get a Giant Terrago fully off-road capable, Alloy frame, Shimano rapidfire equipped MTB with a decent set of Suntour forks (without doubt our fave budget fork) complete with MPH3 Giant hydraulic disc Brakes for UNDER £400!!! Also from Giant is the Stunning XTC3 and XTC4 MTB hardtails that are priced at £600 and £500 - Not that long ago you would have been paying over a thousand pounds for bikes with this spec and capability. These are now accompanied by the new NRS (non resonant suspension) series. Cross country 3 - 3 3/4 " travel proven linkage bikes that are price pointed at £699 - £899 through to the stunning all carbon £1999 model. If you wereas sceptical as we were about fast responsive full sus XC bikes these are the models to change your mind. The roadies have not been forgotten either with the ever popular OCR range undergoing a complete makeover. The entry bike now starts at just £425 complete with composite forks!! The pocket rocket that is the TCR now starts at £699 with a full Tiagra group. - On top of this we have seen the future - Full Carbon 10 speed Ultegra OCR absolutely drop dead gorgeous on our shop scales at just 19lbs and costing just £1*99 - can't say any more.
Specialized have been very busy this season - Although still cable discs the hardrock disc models kick off at £369 with the top of the range PRO going to 9 speed at £500 These are also accompanied by the ladies non disc £299 and Disc £369. The Rockhopper frame gets zoomed with a Stumpy esque look Disc models Start at £699 through to £949. (does any one still buy non disc bikes over £350 now??)
The first new boy in the full sus line up is the FSR XC range £799 buys you a ladies or gents specific disc ready dead ringer of last years best selling Stumpjumper Suspension. Frame material is the Rockhopper A1 alloy. 100mm of travel front and rear - Star of this range is the £1299 model that retains the Fox Triad rear shock. Last years favourite the Stumpy has now been uprated to a full 5"travel bike - this encroaches so much on the evergreen Enduro (old model) that the bike has been completly redesigned - practically a DEMO6 - Stumpjumper ranges from £1699 - £1899 (the stand out model) through to the fantastic Sworks at £3499. Enduro kicks of at £1999 with the must have model being the Fox RC36 equipped £2299 bike. The range also gets the S works treatment at £3299. All enduro have the highly rated 5th element shock.
Massive changes in the Road bikes from the bike S. The entry Allez is a strong contender for best first road bike at £500 but the Ladies Dolce at the same price has no equal. Obviuosly a lot dearer in the States. The Roubaix range is already proving to be a very popular seller in both alloy/carbon and especially the drop dead gorgeous full carbon bike. At £1500 with Ultegra and a sexy carbon chainset this bike brought the 'dream machine' option to the masses. The whole Roubaix concept - slightly taller head tubes offering a more comfortable less race orientated ride yet retaining a performance 'look' has struck a chord with many riders. The Raceheads are not forgotten - the fantastic Tarmac frame set at £899 will be the topic of many discussions with it's spacey looks.
